Porterville’s city government this week launched a new economic development website ChoosePorterville.com. I support this effort by City Hall because Porterville California is sorely in need of positive Economic Development results. This launch is timely, because as part of the New Year, and in honor of a new era and a new administration I have planned to bring you a long series of economic development-related posts here at PortervilleNerd.com. Expect over 25 posts on the matter as time goes by.
Porterville is located 25 miles east of Highway 99, on the easternmost edge of California’s vast Central Valley, where the mighty Sierras begin to rise, and roughly halfway between Bakersfield and Fresno.
This series will provide two separate functions – to describe Porterville in objective terms to whoever is interested, and to provide insight and analysis of the economic environment in Porterville. Overall, these pieces will constitute a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis for investors, planners, developers, and residents alike.
Those interested in more details then have been presented here to date, or specialized research are welcome to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
